I've always loved to write, and I've spent a large amount of my free time trying to find ways to get my writing published. But after mediocre experiences with youth magazines and journals coupled with publications that never answered my emails, I realized that teen writing is not taken as seriously as it should be. I also realized that teens aren't taken seriously enough either; the content written for teens is often geared towards a stereotypical teenage audience that fails to truly relate with our generation.

So, I deiced to start Prime Eleven, a style and life blog that provides teens with honest content on trends, fashion, and the issues that matter most to us in our daily lives.

One of the first articles I wrote for The Teen Magazine was about eighteen of the best small businesses to buy trendy and affordable jewelry from. Not only did I love learning about small businesses and connecting with their owners, but the article was also a hit, and I decided that I wanted to continue writing about them.

Small businesses, especially those run by young entrepreneurs, are often lost in a corporate, adult-dominated media and industry, and that's why Prime Eleven aims to uncover this teen talent and support their ventures into the business world. I still come across small businesses whose products and services are seriously underrated and whose owners are inspiring examples of teen talent and potential; they are proof that success is not reserved solely for adults.

As for the name Prime Eleven, I struggled to come up with something unique and catchy for the blog. I landed on Prime because of its relation to "youth" and Eleven because not only is it a prime number, but it's also a special number in itself.

Thanks for supporting my passion! I'm glad you're here :)
